Buen Hijo by Diana Urbina Phillips

Buen Hijo
Diana Urbina Phillips

Radiante y robusto,
Amor de hijo que
Yace en mi alma y en mi corazón.

Ilumina mis días, sol brillante,
sonriente, alegre,
pícaro,
hiperactivo.
Juguetón.

De pocas palabras,
inteligente,
rápido,
suspicaz,
cumplidor de sus tareas.
Responsable.

Con un alma dulce,
generoso,
cariñoso.
sensible,
querendón.
Buen hijo.

Cansado al final del día,
con plácida mirada,
sereno,
calmado,
Me deja vigilar su sueño.
Dormilón.
Duerme, sueña, hijo.
Te amo.

Translation:

Radiant and robust
Love from my son that
Sits in my soul and in my heart

Illuminate my days, bright sun
smiling, joyful,
fiery,
hyperactive.
Playful.

In a nutshell,
intelligent,
Quick,
mysterious,
completes his tasks,
Responsible.

With a sweet soul
generous,
kind,
affectionate,
Good son.

Tired at the end of the day,
with a placid look
tranquil,
calm,
He lets me watch his dream.
Sleepyhead.
Sleep, dream, son.
I love you.
